The first three weeks of Blue, Red and Grey has been more successful than I could have imagined. The last week has been hectic, with so many stories breaking about the way Wales looks after its arts sector, but there is much to be positive about too. There is a great deal of high quality interesting stuff being made, and I look forward to writing and discussing all of that soon. I want to thank everyone who has read and engaged with BRG so far, and particularly to everyone who has taken a moment to comment or to message me to say how much you’re enjoying it.
In the near future, I will be bringing in a tiered subscription service. There will continue to be free content, but there will be exclusive content too. Paying for BRG, if you can and want to, is how it will continue. Maybe even one day, if things go well, we can even think of expanding it.
But in the meantime, if you would consider taking out a paid subscription, it would contribute to the work being done on it now. It would be greatly appreciated, and would mean more time could be spent on getting the newsletter right, and help me spend more time bringing you news, reviews, and commentaries.
I’d also like to know what works best. The readership so far is strong and consistent, and the data tells its own stories. But let me know if you think I should be doing more of one thing over another.
And in the meantime, here’s a picture of a cat. Her name is Ginny, and she is part of the BRG editorial team. As you can see, it is exhausting work. She says hello.
If you are in a position to do, please take out a paid subscription, and help keep Ginny in editorial biscuits.
