On June 6th 1944, an almost unimaginable undertaking was in motion: the invasion of Europe by allied forces. The ending of the evil of the Nazi war machine was beginning. As commemorations mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, BRG takes a look at the historical relationship of the arena of war and how Welsh writers have approached it.
