A quick note this week to point you in the direction of the second of four Arts Show Specials I’m doing for BBC Radio Wales over the next few months. It went out last Friday, and if you didn’t catch it then, you can on BBC Sounds. It’s a half-hour conversation with memoirist and poet Gwyneth Lewis, whose new book, Nightshade Mother, tells the story of the abuse she suffered from her parents growing up. It’s a fascinating and hard-hitting account, and a book I highly recommend.
Gwyneth was extremely brave and honest in the interview, and I’m very grateful for her candour, and for making the whole thing so effortless.
You can listen to it here.
