What a dreadful morning. At least if you live anywhere near me. The rain is heavy and looks here to stay. This morning I was going to write one of several pieces to send out to you good people - my thoughts on the new Amazon drama that has Michael Sheen playing Prince Andrew (finished watching that last night); or a piece I’ve been contemplating for a while, on the end of my love affair with social media (working title: A Whimper rather than A Bang). But the rain has won over me. I’ve just been drinking coffee and reading, waiting for my little boy to wake up and unleash his sleepy chaos on proceedings before I march him sloshily across the park to his new nursery school.
But I do think of you, I really do. So, in case you’ve missed it (how could you!), here’s a link to Friday’s Arts Show, which was something of a theatre bonanza. I talk to Richard Tunley about his family friendly French farce take on The Three Musketeers, to Lowri Jenkins about her Shirley at the Sherman, and to Sue Jenkins (director) and Christine Mackie (writer) about Kin which is going to Theatr Clwyd very soon.
You can listen to it here.
And hopefully I’ll get the chance to go back to those other subjects sometime this week.
Oh, and I’m also opening a record shop - not sure if I’ve mentioned that. More details of that here. Please sign up to all the social media/newsletter etc.
