Welcome to the 100th post from Blue, Red and Grey, the newsletter born out of the nervous energy of no longer having Wales Arts Review in my life.
BRG is also a place where I can try some things out - I wanted it to be something that focused on the idea of storytelling, while at the same time keeping one eye on what’s going on in Wales (such is the current deficit in cultural commentary now with Wales Arts Review and Planet gone, and New Welsh Review preparing to rise from the ashes in some capacity via Parthian’s investment).
Support from the readership has been heartening, as well as unexpectedly healthy, and I’ve even had the chance during my trips around the country promoting Abandon All Hope to meet some subscribers who I had not met before. (Thank you to all those who have introduced themselves at these events over the summer).
What the future holds for BRG I cannot tell. I would love to continue with daily posts about this and that, but also, I need to make a living, and there are only so many hours in the day. So, we’ll play it by ear. But never doubt that my drive to keep BRG relevant as well as regular. And it will remain a place for me to champion work I have enjoyed.
The best way you can support BRG, if you aren’t ni the business of signing up for a paid subscription, is to like the posts, leave a comment, and share the newsletter. The more it grows, the greater its reach, the better chance it has of continuing.
So, for now, huge thanks to all who read, to those to engage and comment, and to all those who continue to take an interest.
